Our Mixed colour contains all of the colours which naturally occur within the stone; from Blue to Grey / Green through to Brown. Individual stones are not likely to contain all of these colours.
We strongly recommend that prior to ordering you request a sample of the stone, view our image gallery and, better still, contact us to find a completed scheme near you.
Finishes create areas of distinction within a hard landscape design. They are not required for slip / skid enhancement and are typically chosen as an aesthetic.
Finishes apply to our paving stone products only.
Sawn: Our team lightly rub the surface of the slab to remove the saw marks leaving a clean, smooth finish.
Flame Textured: Using a high-temperature acetylene flame we texture the surface of the stone to give an aged, riven appearance. Ideal for properties in conservation areas or for those requiring a softer, weathered product.
Bush Hammered: The stone is physically distressed to give a dimpled appearance. Ideal for highlighting areas within a landscape design.
Our stone was formed as part of the Carboniferous period. Our Quarry lies within the Cannop Fault Belt. During the Upper Carboniferous time the area that is now the Forest of Dean was a near-shore intertidal environment of semi-marine estuaries and swamps in which the Coal Measures were deposited.

Being a natural product our stone may vary significantly in colour and texture. Our images and swatches are only as accurate as the screen/ print-out / device will allow. We strongly recommend that samples of our stone are requested prior to placing the order.
