Forest of Dean Firms Stone produce four types of stone:

Sawn and dressed pitched faced building stone
Sawn and split building stone
Random rectangular building stone
Ashlar blocks

Apart from random rectangular building stone, which is normally built against a backing block, all other finishes have sawn back, bed and perp joints, and can be built
to provide a traditional cavity construction.
